Respironics Spectrum Full Face Mask is an alternative to nasal masks for people who require CPAP or pressure support therapy in the home or hospital. Because therapy is delivered through both the nose and mouth, the Full Face Mask may help solve the problem of mouth leak, and may also help alleviate dryness and discomfort sometimes caused by leaks associated with nasal interfaces.
The Spectrum Mask includes a quick release feature, allowing the patient or caregiver to quickly remove the mask, if necessary. Additionally, a fresh air entrainment valve opens the circuit to room air if circuit pressure is lost, minimizing CO2 re-breathing. The Spectrum Disposable Full Face mask is intended for use on patients with respiratory failure, respiratory insufficiency, or Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
